RK 009 CK1 3/4-1" 1st Check Complete

Series 009 Reduced Pressure Zone Assemblies are Watts "contractor grade" RPZ device. They began production in 1989 and still are being manufactured. Available in sizes 1/4 - 3" all models feature a one cover design. The smaller 1/4 - 2" models are all constructed of bronze and use check modules that slide into the body and are held in place with a retainer. The relief valve assembly slides down between the retainer and is directly under the cover. The check modules and relief valve assembly come apart for service. Over the years, Watts has redesigned the devices slightly. They call these changes "modifications." You will notice devices tagged with 009, 009M1, 009M2, and 009M3. The "M" stands for modification and although the appearance is very similar on all these valves, their internal parts are very different, so be sure of your valve before ordering. The larger 2 1/2 - 3" devices are available in bronze or a cast iron epoxy coated body. Many different shutoff options and configuration options are available. Like the smaller sizes, they use self contained check assemblies with a retainer. No special tools are required for servicing 009 Series devices.
